Inventory and compile data on present lateral and on-farm <br />irrigation systems. <br /> <br />(1) Type of distribution system being utilized and general <br />condition. <br /> <br />(2) Water deliveries by quantity and management. <br /> <br />(3) Method of irrigation and length of runs. <br /> <br />(4) Crops irrigated by soil class. <br />(5) Water use efficiencies with determinatjons for: <br /> <br />(a) Quantity of return flows, and <br /> <br />(b) Quantity of deep percolation. <br /> <br />b. Consider irrigation system improvement needs and oppc,rtunities <br />and evaluate effects of improvements. <br /> <br />(1) Distribution system rehabilitation or change. <br /> <br />(2) Delivery and system management change. <br /> <br />(3) Irrigation methods -- Reference: Irrigacion Guide or <br />suggested improvements to the Guide. <br /> <br />(4) Increased water use efficiencies due to improvements. <br /> <br />(a) Consider total or complete (100 percent) level of <br />system improvements. <br /> <br />(b) Consider practical, social, and economic improve- <br />ment level. <br />
