These decreed
diversion capacities are 62.S cfs for the Highland and 7S.0 cfs for the
Ninemile.

The winter storage water delivered to the Highland and Ninemile account will
be treated as "other water" under Section III of Resolution Concerninq an
Operation Plan for John Martin Reservoir and subject to a 3S percent storage
charge. This storage charge wi II be distributed according to the criteria in
Section III. D. in that resolution. [0.(" ~ ~",-A-~4..J ~e>-!2- [:

Evaporation will be charged against the winter storoge water in the Highland
and Ninemile account for the time it actually is in storoge. The same formulas
and procedures will be used for these calculations as are used for the other
accounts in John Martin Reservoir.

e.

The total quantity of water actually exchanged out of this winter storage
account by the two ditches will not exceed a total volume of 39,000 acre-feet
in any 1 S-year period. (This is equivalent to 2,600 acre-feet per year based
upon a IS-year running average.)

f.

A sample accounting for a hypothetical winter storage season is incorporated
in this plan on page 4.

S. During the winter storage period, the Highla~d an..d Ninemile may divert water for
direct irrigation. The volume of any such diversions will be measured, recorded,
accounted, and deducted from the delivery of winter storage water by the
respective ditch that is so diverting.
