<br />C'J <br />;::') <br /> <br />... <br />"'. <br />'l""'l <br />C;;J <br />'-' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />BLM Service Center Director Del Vail was briefed on the status of the <br />project and the prospects of starting EIS work in FY85. <br /> <br />Work on cost estimates for a water/coal slurry line from Emery, Utah, to <br />Intermountain Powerplant using Dirty Devil River water was cancelled. <br />The proj ect was not feas i b 1 e. <br /> <br />The McCoy ground water project site was visited. The project is a <br />potent i al source of replacement water for Glenwood-Dotsero Spri ngs. <br /> <br />6.2 ANTICIPATED SEPTEMBER EVENTS <br /> <br />The contractor hired to study the use of Big Sandy River water at <br />Jim Bridger Powerplant will visit the powerplant September 11-14 to <br />collect operating data. The study will be completed in 6 months. <br /> <br />Discussions will continue with potential industrial users of <br />Glenwood-Dotsero Springs water. Agreements will be sought to study use <br />of the water in industrial processes and determine costs and benefits to <br />Reclamation and industrial users. <br /> <br />A schedule for investigation of potential saline water features will be <br />developed. The goal is to determine feasible projects by mid-19B5. <br /> <br />7.0 SUBTEAM: PLANNING COORDINATION/REPORTS/PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT <br />7.1 JULY-AUGUST EVENTS <br /> <br />An evaluation report was prepared on previous advance work.
