The 9, 828 acre-feet of H:Xnestake water stored in <br />Turquoise Reservoir (September 30, 1980) plus W. Y. 1981 imp:>rts will be <br />released at the request of the Ibmestake Project. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Under a temporary contract, the Catlin Canal Canpany may store their <br />larkspur Ditch tranSllDuntain diversions up to 3,000 acre-feet in Fryingpan- <br />Arkansas Project facilities. <br /> <br />Pueblo Water Board owns one-half of the Busk-Ivanhoo imports and has <br />leased their half to High Line Canal Canpany. The ausk-Ivanhoe iIr1F<>rts, <br />belonging to the High Line Canal C'aT'pany, will be stored in Turquoise <br />lake under contract. Releases to the High Line Canal C'aT'pany are <br />patterned after previous years. <br /> <br />When their water rights are in priority, CF&I Steel COrporation stores a <br />portion of the native flow in Turquoise lake up to 17, 4g0 acre-feet <br />under its 1902 storage right. CF&I may also store 3 ft /s fran May 15 <br />through September 15, rot to exceed 738 acre-feet; this water must be <br />released fran Turquoise lake by November 1. CF&I has purchased an <br />additional 10,000 acre-feet of finn storage from the project, effective <br />in 1979. ' <br /> <br />Approximately ten thousand acre-feet of project water will be routed to <br />fill the Mt. Elbert Forebay through the Mt. Eli1>ert COnduit for testing <br />of the Mt. Elbert PllIrpld-Storage Powerplant. <br /> <br />Water released fran Turquoise lake on ~e Fork Creek will be maintained <br />at a rate equal to, or less than, 400 ft Is, which is the safe channel <br />capacity of lake Fork Creek below Sugar IDaf Dam through June 30. Mt. <br />Elbert PI.1rrped-Storage Powerplant is scheduled to be on line for cx:mnercial <br />power production on July 1. Water will then be routed through Mt. <br />Elbert COnduit except to rreet minimum instream, flows and senior cbwnstream <br />rights. <br /> <br />Table 5 and Exhibit 8 show the proposed operat:ion of Tu.rqtDise lake in <br />water year 1981. <br /> <br />E.
