The need therefore <br /> <br />In Inter-agency activity Is to define as clearly as poss ible, the alms, <br /> <br />purposes, and objectives of the committee, while maintaining enough <br /> <br />breadth and generality to encompass the purposes, objectives, and <br /> <br />authorities of each of the levels of government represented. This is <br /> <br />a monumental task In Itself, and one on which there will always be <br /> <br />some disagreement, I am sure. <br /> <br />In closing let me make this observation. The vitality of the <br /> <br />Inter-agency concept Is in direct relation to the contribution of its <br /> <br />Individual members. The inter-agency committee Is an established <br /> <br />and functioning agency which can, and does, coordinate Federal, <br /> <br />Federal-State, and Interstate activities In water .and related land <br /> <br />resource development.
