All natural flow and subsequent natural storage had to
pass cochiti Dam first before any SJ-C water could pass. Therefore,
the block of SJ-C water suffered 49 AF of evaporative losses during
that period. From May 19 - June 8, the block was released from
cochiti and moved into Jemez Canyon Reservoir. The second block of
SJ-C water, 1,400 AF, was released from Abiquiu during December 18 -
25, and moved directly, by exchange, into Jemez Canyon Reservoir.
This block suffered 18 AF of transportation losses.

Table 10 (page 10) shows the SJ-C balance for Jemez Canyon Reservoir
and Table 11C (page 13) shows the reservoir summary for 1992.

Elenhant Butte Reservoi~

A total of 38,110 AF of SJ-C water was delivered to Elephant Butte
Reservoir for storage in 1992 resulting in a peak recreation pool
storage of 41,853 AF by the end of December, 1992. This was performed
in accordance with the agreement between the New Mexico state Parks
and Recreation Division and the city of Albuquerque.

The largest block of City SJ-C water (26,464 AF) destined for Elephant
Butte in 1992 was delivered out of Abiquiu Reservoir from March 17 to
April 10. It suffered 323 AF of transportation losses from Abiquiu to
Cochiti. However, it was temporarily held in Cochiti for an
additional 17 days due to a variance from the Rio Grande Compact
Commissioners as explained above in the second paragraph under Jemez
Canyon Reservoir operations. The block suffered 543 AF of evaporative
losses in Cochiti from March 18 - April 26. From April 27 - May 19,
the block was released, destined for Elephant Butte, suffering an
additional 1,812 AF of transportation losses. By May 22, a total of
23,786 AF of SJ-C water arrived at Elephant Butte.

A total of 1,087AF of city SJ-C water was delivered to Elephant Butte
from November 1 - December 31, and an additional 4,760 AF of SJ-C
water will be released from Abiquiu by mid-March, 1993 destined for
Elephant Butte.

The wine growers (Sierra Wine Growers Association and Zanchi and Son)
pumped 122 AF from Elephant Butte Reservoir during 1992.
