<br />20 <br /> <br /> <br />001953 <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES, PROCEDURES, PROGRAM AND <br />PROPOSED FUTURE PROGRAM OF THE SEDIMENTATION SUBCOMMITTEE <br /> <br />FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1, To locate and describe sedimentation problem areas and to famil iarize <br />committee members, universiti es, and other interested groups, with <br />sedimentation problems in the Pacific Southwest, <br /> <br />2. To exchange ideas relative to immediate and future needs for sedimentation <br />data and to encourage the support of agency and interagency investigations <br />of sed i ment prob I ems. <br /> <br />3. To foster and stimulate research in sedimentotion, <br /> <br />4, To collect and disseminate information on techniques, investigation programs, <br />and developments reloting to sedimentation. <br /> <br />5, To keep member agencies informed of progress on going programs and <br />initiation of new problems involving sedimentation. <br /> <br />6. To execute assignments from the parent committee. <br /> <br />PROCEDURES <br /> <br />1, The Sedimentation Subcommittee shall meet at least four times a year at <br />times and places pertinent to the work of the subcommittee. One meeting <br />a year will be scheduled at the same location and just prior to a meeting <br />of the parent committee. <br /> <br />2. Task force committees shall be appointed as required to consider special <br />probl ems. <br /> <br />3, The work of the Sedimentation Subcommittee shall be coordinated with <br />the work of other subcommittees through joint meetings, or other means. <br /> <br />4. At the last meeting of each year, the accomplishments of the past year will <br />be reviewed and a program for the following year will be established. <br /> <br />5. At the third or next to last meeting of the year the officers for the following <br />year shall be elected. <br /> <br />6, The chairman shall provide PSIAC with a brief annual report describing <br />activities and accomplishments of the subcommittee not later than June 1st <br />of each year. This report will be on a fiscal year basis for inclusion in the <br />annual report of PSIAC, <br />
