<br />17 <br /> <br /> <br />ot)1956 <br />STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES, PROCEDURES, AND <br />PROGRAM OF THE RECREATION TECHNICAL SUBCOMMITTEE <br /> <br />FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />1. To keep the PSIAC informed on public outdoor recreation problems in <br />connection with water resources developments within the Pacific South- <br />west area and to make recommendations for their solution to that <br />Committee. <br /> <br />2, To achieve coordination between the Federal and State agencies concerned <br />with the planning and/or construction and management of recreation <br />resources in the region served by the Pocific Southwest Inter-Agency <br />Committee particulorly in relation to water resource development, <br /> <br />3, To furnish member agencies an opportunity to discuss planning and/or <br />construction and management of recreation phases of water resource <br />development and to exchange and disseminate information on problems <br />and solutions encountered in this field. <br /> <br />4, To develop and recommend methods and procedures for: the resolution <br />of conflicts between member agencies; the el imination of dupl ication <br />of effort in the coil ection of data and in formation; and to suggest <br />needed legislation. <br /> <br />5. To participate, aid and assist in and to be available to PSIAC member <br />agencies for consultation on the analysis and development of sound <br />technical criteria for planning, design, construction, management, <br />operation and maintenance of recreation phases of resource development. <br /> <br />6, To execute assignments from PSIAC on recreation problems associated with <br />water resource development. <br /> <br />PROCEDURES <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />1. The Recreation Subcommittee shall meet not less than four times yearly, <br />the time and places to be set by the Chairman, At I east one of these <br />meetings preferably will be held at the same place and immediately <br />preceding the meeting of the PSIAC. <br /> <br />2. Task forces shall be appointed by the Subcommittee Chairman as <br />needed, and shall meet as required, <br />
