San <br />Marino has not requested construction of its feeder line and there- <br />fore does not yet have a physical connection to the DiHtrict distri.. <br />bution system. The larger percentages of Colorado River water <br />used by various constituent, were as follow,,: Santa Monica 99.8. <br />Anaheim 94.3, Santa Ana 88.2, Pasadena 53.9. Beverly Hills 45.2, <br />Coastal Municipal Water District 40.8, Fullerton 39.7, Compton <br />38.2, Long Beach 33.1. Softened water was delivered to the U. S. <br />Navy for its Spadra Hospital and to the State of California at the <br />same location following closing of the naval hospital. Total use of <br />softened and filtere,l Colorado River water was 28.2 per cellt <br />greater than in the year 1945-46. <br />The maximum monthly delivery of softened water occurred in <br />August 1946 and averaged 145 cubic feet per second or 9~,720,OOO <br />gallons per day. The minimum monthly delivery was in December <br />1946 at 32.8 cubic fEet per second or 21,200,000 gallons per day. <br />In the previous fiscal year June 1946 was the peak month at 102 <br />cubic feet per second and January 1946 the low at 37. <br />The variation in monthly rates of delivery of softened Colorado <br />River water to District areas durin:r 1946-47 is given in the fol- <br />lowing table: <br /> <br /> <br />and represented a capital investment of some $156,000,000. The <br />value of all agricultural production in the four coastal basin coun- <br />ties in 1946 W:1S $45:3,000,000, slightly above 1945.
