<br />oz:GO . <br /> <br />GROSS RESERVOIR (Reservoir 2.2) (Altitude, top of dam" 7, .290 ft.) <br /> <br /> <br />Location: - On South Boulder Creek about 35 miles northwest of Denver, <br /> <br /> <br />between Ell Dorado Springs and Pine cliff. <br /> <br /> <br />Built: - Completed in 1955. <br /> <br />Cost: - $12,216,400. <br /> <br />Function: - Operated as a part of the general Moffat raw water system in <br /> <br />regulating flows rather than as a reserve storage facility. <br /> <br />Capacity: - Provides temporary storage for spring run-off through the <br /> <br />Moffat Tunnel in a total amount of 42,000 acre feet. <br /> <br />~: - The darn creating this reservoir is 340 ft. high and 1050 ft. long on top. <br /> <br />It is of gravity arch type and contains 625,000 cubic yards of concrete. <br />
