In return for a 99 year lease on 35 cfs, GCe will <br /> <br />cons~ruct a pipeing and pump system to pump up to 13.7 cfs up <br /> <br />Roan ~reek, to then be released for agricultural use when <br />need~d, with the remaining 35 cfs to be used by the oil shale <br />consdrtium, The first phase of this project (13,7 cfs of <br /> <br />agridultural water) is expected to be operational by 1990 and <br /> <br />deplete 1,800 acre-feet. <br /> <br />dd, Green Mountain Water Sales <br /> <br />1 <br />G,reen Mountain Reservoir was completed in 1943 <br /> <br />CI.S <br />~ part of <br /> <br />the Oolorado-Big Thompson Project (CBT) to provide replacement <br /> <br />water for west slope water users which may be injured as a <br /> <br />resu~t of CBT diversions to the east slope in Colorado. The <br />totaL capacity of the reservoir is 154,600 acre-feet of which <br />146,900 acre-feet is considered active. The Plan of <br /> <br />Develppment and Operating Policies for CBT are described in <br /> <br />Senat~ Document 80 dated June 15, 1937. The operating pOlicy <br /> <br />for G~een Mountain Reservoir was revised on December 22, <br /> <br />1983. Subsequently it has been determined that up to 28,800 <br /> <br />acre-feet out of the 100.000 acre-foot power pool may be <br /> <br />available for sale under long-term contracts, As of March, <br /> <br />1986 the potential water sales are as indicted in ~he table <br /> <br />below:. <br /> <br />-22- <br />
