Ruedi 'Contracts

Estimates of projected depletions from water contracts

out ot Ruedi Reservoir were originally provided by the
Lower .Missouri Regional Office of the Bureau of Reclamation

from ~he 1983 supplement of the Final Environmental Impact
Statement. They are updated by estimates from the most
recen~ draft of Ruedi Biological Opinion issued by the U,S.
Fish and Wildlife Service. The preferred alternative
showe~ Round 1 Sales of 7,850 acre-feet and an additional
averag~ annual water sale of 22,300 acre-feet (Biological
Opinion) in Round II for a total sale of 30,150 acre-feet
(Biolol;ricalOpinion). The maximum sale in anyone year
would be approximately 66,850 acre-feet.

Depletions are computed assuming 100 percent
,

consumftion of industrial water and 40 percent consumption
of water delivered to municipal and domestic users. Based

on 75 percent of sales being for industrial (oil shale
mainly) and 25 percent for municipal and domestic uses the
total 4verage annual depletion would be 27,135 acre-feet
(BioloqicalOpinion). The maximum depletion in any ~one

-18-
