Cooperative Studies and Activities: <br />(a) Article V III G( I) of Arkansas River Compact requires the Adminis- <br />tration to cooperate with the Chief Official of each of the states of <br />Colorado and Kansas charged with the administration of water <br />rights in their respective.: States, and with the Federal agencies in <br />systematically determining and correlating the facts pertaining to <br />the flow and diversion of the water of the Arkansas River and to the <br />operation and siltation of John Martin Reservoir and other related <br />structures. Article VIII G (2) requests the Director of the United <br />States Geological Survey, the Commissioner of the United Stares <br />Bureau of Reclamation. and the Chief of Engineers. United States <br />Army. to cooperate and collaborate with the Administration and <br />with appropriate State officia.ls in such determmations and correla- <br />tions of stream now and related data. Under the By-Laws of the <br />Administration, these cooperative studies and activities are assigned <br />to the Engineering Committee of the Administration. <br />(b) During Ihe year eo\'ered by this report the Admjnistration has <br />received excellent cooperation from all agencies referred to in the <br />foregoing provisions of the Compact. The United States Geological <br />Survey has continued the operation of the compact gaging stations <br />and the analysis of and compilalion of the hydrologicdala presented <br />in this report and used in the administration of the Compact. <br />(c) The Corps of Engineers continued to operate the conservation pool <br /> <br />f <br /> <br />10 <br />
