The cost for purchase of 3,900 acre-feet of water for initial
fill of the Mount Carbon recreation pool and Soda Lakes is estimated to
be $303,000. Local interests would be credited for the cost of water
acquisition for the initial filling as a contribution in kind toward
the cost-sharing obligation. The separable cost of lands for the
optimum recreation plan would amount to $2,250,000 and the cost of
recreation facilities would amount to $1,269,000. The separable costs
for recreational lands, facilities, and initial water fill total
$3,822,000.
