The first section describes the irrigation

benefits for supplemental and full service sprinkler irrigation and

supplemental and full service gravity irrigation. The next section

describes eighteen alternative plans, with appraisal level costs,

which illustrates the full range of plans considered in advance

planning. Finally there is an arrayal table which compares the costs,

benefits, and benefit to cost ratios of the alternatives.

The service areas shown in the alternatives are the result of

extensive studies and negotiations. The acreages shown are based on

a detailed land classification survey. The large acreage plan is the

maximum irrigation plan; no other lands in the vicinity of the project

area are eligible or are economically justifiable to serve. There is .

14,000 acre-feet of municipal and industrial water provided; this

represents the maximum need which could be identified. Past plans

had significantly more M&I water but the ~eed for more than 14,000 AF

did not material~ze.

The arrayal table shows that all of the alternatives have benefit

to cost ratios below unity.

'.'''''''__ .,,_.
