Line 376. Undcr all three alternatives, replace "rights" with "water projects". Under the 500/5000
Alternative, replace "included" with "would occur", and delete "changes required.".

Line 378. Under the 250/5000 and 500/5000 Alternatives, add a statement summarizing the impacts
of the alternatives on stream bottom sediments.

Line 384. Under the 500/5000 Altemative, delete "only".

Line 409. Replace "and" with ",". The sentence as written appears to incorrectly relegate the
development and use of compact apportionments to something other than an authorized purpose of
the Navajo Unit, or to an additional or secondary purpose.

Line 418. Replace "and/or" with ", and whereby dam operations may be adjusted in response to any
changes to". Monitoring data collected by the Bureau of Reclamation, the SJRBRIP and others may
be used by the SJRBRIP's Biology Committee in reviewing the flow Recommendations criteria, but
Reclamation's adaptive management process will not form the basis of modifications to the flow
Recommendations criteria. The SJRBRJP's adaptive management process may result in
modifications to its flow Recommendations criteria.

Line 421. Insert "adverse impacts to" following "mitigate", and insert "," following "resources".

Line 422. Insert "," following "mitigation".

San Juan River Basin map. Replace "Navajo Nation Reservation Lands" with "Navajo Indian
Reservation", delineate Navajo Nation checkerboard land areas, change the Hogback designation
from a town to a geographic feature, and add the town of fruitland.

CHAPTER I

Line 30. Replace "implement" with "meet", and insert "or a reasonable alternative" following
"River". The fish and Wildlife Service has indicated that the flow Recommendations criteria are
not necessarily inviolate.

Line 32. Replace "while enabling future" with "and in enabling".

Line 33. Replace "court" with "Supreme Court". This change is consistent with the goals of the San
Juan Rivcr Basin Recovery Implementation Program (SJRBRJP).

Line 34. Insert "would maintain the authorized purposes of the Navajo Unit and" following
"Rcclamation" .

LiRe36. Delete "At the same time,".

Lines 37-38. Delete the two lines in their entirety.

6
