<br />001353 <br /> <br />CHAPTER 2 <br /> <br />STATE WATER LAWS, POLICIES, <br />AND ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />The following summaries were prepared and updated to <br />December 31, 1975. by the respective State water resource <br />agencies. or their designees, briefly outlining their more im- <br />portant water and related land laws and policies, and the admin- <br />istration of such laws. Also included are brief resumes of the <br />organizational framework for resource planning and develop- <br />ment programs in general. While the summaries cover only the <br />highlights in these respects. each of the States has published a <br />complete documentation of its water laws. In many instances <br /> <br />these and other publications include. also, treatment of the <br />organizational and administrative structure in greater depth <br />than is reflected in this appendix.
