MEMORANDUM Date, February 11, 1992 To, Mike Gross From, Chuck Brendecke Re, Informational Materials for 2/19/92 Sponsors Comntittee Meeting Gunnison Basin Planning Model Project - Attached you will fmd rwo documents which are meant to provide starting points for Planning Model discussions at the February 19 Sponsors Committee meeting. The first document is a summary descripti9n of the existing ba.'iiin model. The second is a questionnaire addressing model use and com- puting facilities. The model summary is provided as a convenient means to begin getting everyone "up to speed" on what the existing model uocs and does nm do. It will be necessary for everyone to have a good un- derstanding of the capabilities of the existing model in order to define what they want done differently in the new model. f'or those wanting more dClail before the meeting than,is presented in the summary, I would suggest Lhey refer LO the Task 5 Technical Memorandum from the Phase I study. The questionnaire has two purposes. One set of questions is designed to gel people thinking. at a fairly high level, about what they will want to do with the model. The second set of questions is designed lO give us some information about the computing environments within which the various entities will use the model. Both sets of questions will lead to more detailed questions and discussion as we move through the needs analysis. I would like someone from each of the sponsoring emities to fill out the questionnaire and brin~ it to the meeting so I can collect them all at oncc.
