Appendix A lists the contacted entities according
to state. This list will continue to be updated as notification
of interest is received.

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY AND EXPERTISE

The Upper and Lower Colorado Regional Directors have overall
responsibility for public involvement associated with this
review. It has been determined the Lower Colorado Regional
Office will be the lead organization for conducting the review.

The preparation of newsletters, fact sheets, and news releases
will be a coordinated effort between the Upper and Lower Colorado
Regions and their staffs.

The Seven Colorado River Basin States may be requested to assist
in organizing, promoting, and participating in those public
involvement activities occurring within their geographical
jurisdiction.

Many of those directly involved with this review process have had
forma~ publ~c involvement training as well as considerable
exper1ence 1n dealing with the public on other projects and
issues. These persons will have prime responsibility in
arranging and conducting meetings for the public involvement
portions of the process.

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT ACTIVITIES

A description of the public involvement activities for Phase I is
provided below. This description does not include all technical
activities that will be occurring but includes only those
technical tasks that have direct public involvement implications.
A flowchart has been included at the end of the Management/Public

2
