The public hearing will be scheduled

and conducted in accordance with BLM Manual, Sec. 2351.16 B.

The Department of the Interior's regulations provide that the

authorized officer of the BLM will undertake such investigations as are

necessary to determine the existing and potential demands for the lands

and their resources. The Secretary's determination

shall, in a proper case, be subject to the provisions of section 204(c)

of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, 90 Stat. 2752.

The below described lands are temporarily segregated from the operation

of the public land laws, including the mining laws, to the extent that

the withdrawal applied for, if and when effected, would prevent any form

of disposal or appropriation under such laws. Current administrative

jurisdiction over the segregated lands will not be affected by the

temporary segregation. The segregative effect of the application shall

terminate upon (1) rejection of the application by the Secretary, (2)

r-"
