In lieu of more exact data <br />these percentages were applied to the preproject acreage to indicate <br />the approximate crop distribution. <br /> <br />13. EnJi(ineerin~ features of the proe.- The proposed Lemon Dam would <br />be a compacted earth-fill structure having a maximum height of 180'. The <br />crest would be 1450' long at elevation 8143', m.s.I. Lemon Dam would <br />create Lemon Reservoir Which would have a capacity of 23,300 acre-feet <br />at spillway crest elevation. The outlet works would be housed in a <br />concrete-lined tunnel through the right abutment. Two slide gates in the <br />chamber, just upstream from the center of the dam, muld release water to <br />two steel pipes 39' in diameter, Wlich loJOuld tenninate in 30-inch needle <br />valves discharging into the spillway stilling pool. The spillway would <br />be of the side channel type with a fixed, open crest 135 feet long, dis- <br />charging into a long epen chute. <br /> <br />14. Surplus nows in the Florida River muld be stored in the Lemon <br />Reservoir for regulated release. Water for irrigation would be diBtributed <br /> <br />3 <br />
