This is 77% of the acreage that had service available in
1965. The irrigation operations for each of the irrigation districts
are shown in the following table:

Irrigation Acres Diversion Diversion Fsrm Del. Crop Value
District Irr1pe. Even though the monthly total was above
normal for the month of August, as shown in Table 4, the first three
weeks were dry and therefore created a large demand on reservoirs for
irrigation.

Water diverted to the liale Ditch totaled 2,201 acre-feet, of which
96 acre-feet were sold under Warren Act Contract.

The acres irrigated in 1965 and estimated to be irrigated in 1966 are
compared to the service available acreage in Table 6. ^ graphic
representation of development by irrigation districts is presented in
Exhibits 12 through 20.

Table 7 lists
canal system.
data for 1960

the 1965 monthly diversions and acres irrigated for each
Table 8 tabulates the acreage irrigated and water diversion
through 1965, together with estimates for 1966.

OTHER USES

During the 1965 season, at the Bureau of Reclamation reservoirs, or
lakes, recreation areas and facilities drew 1,319,903 visitors to enjoy
boating, water skiing, swimming, sight seeing, camping, hunting and
fiShing. Table 13 shows the major recreation uses and the number of
visitors participating in each use for each of the facilities.

.

11
