<br />President Nichols res.d a letter from Secretary Shaw advising that because of
<br />the fact that he has retired from active buainess, and plans to do a great deal
<br />of traveling, he would like to retire from the Board at the October meeting. In
<br />his letter, Secretary ..Shaw advised that he fe~ls the work of the Distriet will
<br />require the attention of another person who can devote the time. Mr, Christy
<br />suggested that at the appropriate time, the Board indicate Its sincere regret at
<br />the retirement of Mr. Shaw, and the profound thanks which should be ezpressed
<br />for his many years of faithful service.
