Appli- <br />cations for the position are being considered; however, a motion unanimously <br />passed by the Executive Committee in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 30, 1967, <br />deferred decision on appointment of. an Executive Director until the Council <br />has adopted a new activity program, Mrs, Juanita Rogers left for a position <br />with the Pacific Northwest River Basins Commission and Mrs, Ethel Voss <br />was employed June 1, 1967, as staff secretary, <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />The Western States Water Council published and distributed their First <br />Annual Report in May, 1967. Standards and Guidelines were presented and <br />approved March 31, 1967, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Principles were also presented <br />in the March 31st meeting and unanimously adopted September 29, 1967, in <br />Helena, Montana, The Council approved a statement of position on the Public <br />Land Law Review Commission Water Study in Portland, Oregon, August 22, 1967, <br />which was later presented to the Commission at a hearing held in Spokane, <br />Washington, September 1-2, 1967, by Mr, Wesley A, D'Ewart (Montana). An <br />Activities Committee was appointed in Portland, Oregon, August 22, 1967, to <br />propose an activity program for the Council, Members of that committee are <br />Mr. William S.
