Hydroelectric Powerplant <br /> <br />A 2.3 mega\~att hydroelectric power fadility was estimated to.utilize <br />river releases averagin9 750 ft3/s ih June, July, and AU9ust, and <br />150 ft3/s during the remainder of the year. <br />1 <br /> <br />The cost estimate for the potential powerplant was based on appraisal <br />level cost curves developed by Tudor! Engineering Company, Denver, <br />Co 1 orado, under contract with the Bureau of Rec 1 amat i on. The cost for <br />mod i fying the river out 1 et works was added, and the powerp 1 ant cas ts <br />were indexed to January 1981 price 1 eve,] s. The cost of constructing a <br />2.3-megawatt powerplant at Narrows i Dam would be approximately <br />$6.9 million including indirect costs a~d interest during construction. <br /> <br />Fish and Wildlife and Recreation <br /> <br />The fish and wildl ife enhancement and: recreation purposes were not <br />modified for this evaluation from those reported in the 1976 Addendum. <br /> <br />Facilities \~ould be developed to enhance fish and wildlife potential at <br />Jackson Lake Reservoir and below NarliOWS Dam. A fish hatchery at <br />Narrows Reservoir has also been propqsed to enhance the reservoir <br />fishery. ' <br /> <br />4 <br />
