<br />a. regulation of improvements and land development by landowners abutting <br />the beds, banks, and shores of lakes, streams, watercourses, and <br /> <br />marshes; <br /> <br />b. regulation of encroachments in the flood plains of rivers, streams, <br /> <br />lakes, and marshes; <br />c. modifications of previously established public drainage aystems; <br />d. preservation of wetland areas; <br />e. management of game and fish resources as related to water resources; <br />f. control or alleviation of damages by flood waters; <br />g. alteration of stream channels for conveyance of surface waters, <br />navigation, and any other public purposes; <br />h. diversion or changing of water courses in whole or in part; <br />i. regulation of the flow of streams and conservation of these waters; <br />j. regulation of lake water levels; <br />k. maintenance of water supply for municipal, domestic, industrial, <br />recreational, agricultural, eathetic, wildlife, fiShery, or other <br />public use; <br />1. sanitation and public health and regulation of uaes of streama, <br />ditches, or water courses for the purpose of disposing of waste and <br />maintaining water quality; <br />m. prevention or remedial measures to control or alleviate land and soil <br />erosion and siltation of affected water courses or bodies of water; and <br />n. regulation of uses of water surfaces. <br />Separate legislation requires the Department of Natural Resources to <br />prepare a statewide framework and assessment water and related land resources <br /> <br />plan. <br /> <br />G-4 <br />
