Agriculturalists are 'scratching their heads' trying to
figure out ways to avoid extreme stresses in the early
stage of irrigated corn development when 'hot winds'
continue for several days in late June and early July.
Some fields show little, if any, effect, while others
show little development. Irrigated corn yields were
generally good in the Niobrara. Lower Platte and Kansas
River Basins.
