New area- <br />capacity tables were developed and put into effect on October 1, 1974. <br /> <br />1974 sur~Y - BOSTWICK DIVISION - NEBRASKA <br /> <br />The Bostwick Irrigation District in Nebraska diverted 56,204 acre-feet <br />for the irrigation of 20,760 acres. The gross crop value was $6,488,573, <br />which reflects a substantial increase over 1973. <br /> <br />1974 SUMMARY - BOSTWICK DIVISION - KANSAS <br /> <br />The annual precipitation at Lovewell Darn was 61 percent of normal. The <br />Kansas State Park and Resources Authority took advantage of the low Love- <br />well Reservoir level during July, August and September to construct a ne\'" <br />boatramp and dredge the concession cove at the Cedar Point Recreation <br />Area. <br /> <br />;.':0. <br /> <br />The Kansas-Bostwick Irrigation District diverted a total of 80,126 acre- <br />feel to serve 9.052 acres above Lovewell Dam and 20,400 acres below Love- <br />well. The gross crop value 'VIas $9,273,479, which is a 32 pe:!::'ccnt increase <br />over the previous year. Certain farmers in the Kansas-Bostwick Irrigation <br />District cooperated with the Bureau of Reclamation in an Irrlgation Manage- <br />ment Scheduling Research Program. <br /> <br />1975 OUTLOOK - BOSTWICK DIVISION <br /> <br />The Bostwick Irrigation District in Nebraska and the Kansas-Bostwick <br />lrrigation District expect to deliver water to 22,523 and 35,000 acres, <br />respectively. The storage in Harlan County Lake and and Lovewell Reservoir <br />and the flows of the Republican River and White Rock Creek are forecasted <br />to furnish an adequate water supply for the Bostwick lands. <br /> <br />.. <br />" , <br /> <br />21 <br />
