<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />nr;':!., "JI <br />'-' .,) ...... _oJ.{) 't <br /> <br />The net loss of water over and above natural inflow between the water <br /> <br />measured at the Colorado State line stations and that measured downstream <br /> <br />at the Bluff, Utah, Station is accounted for by river channel losses and <br />consumptive use within the States of New Mexico and Utah. <br />The above figures include the return flow from the imported water from <br />the Dolores River in Colorado to the San Juan River in Colorado. <br /> <br />These figures clearly show that any firm Lee Ferry obligation placed <br />on the San Juan River, plus any new stream depletion in the basin by the <br /> <br />use of water in any of the four states, plus an allowance for river channel <br /> <br /> <br />losses which is indicated to be somewhere between 17,000 and 80,000 acre <br /> <br />feet per year, must be supplied from the watershed of the basin in Colorado. <br /> <br />In other words, any Lee Ferry obligation placed on the San Juan River and <br /> <br />any future consumptive use of water in any of the four states will be from <br /> <br />the watershed of Colorado. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
