The latest state-of-the-art technology that <br />will improve the reliability and economics of the AQUATRAIN I Project is <br />being considered. <br /> <br />5.2 ANTICIPATED JULY EVENTS <br /> <br />Additional expertise will be utilized during the month to review and con- <br />firm technical and economical data being assembled for the business plan. <br />The technical formulation of the project will be finalized and submitted <br />to management for revi ew and comments. <br /> <br />6.0 SUBTEAM: ENVIRONMENT/CORRIDOR/FEDERAL PERMITTING/ENERGY MANAGEMENT (Fite) <br />6.1 JUNE EVENTS <br /> <br />On June 29. Cl inton attended a seminar on acid rain hosted by the Board <br />of Governors of the Environmental Oefense Fund. The environmental com- <br />munity is still strongly interested in participating in the evolution of <br />the AQUATRAIN Project. <br /> <br />Statements of work and schedules for investigation of industrial uses of <br />Glenwood-Dotsero water were reviewed by the Grand Junction Project <br />Office and Regional Office. Suggested changes have been made and final <br />schedules are being negotiated. <br /> <br />Statements of work and schedule for investigation of use of Dirty Devil <br />River water for coal/water slurry line have been reviewed by Durango <br />Project Office and schedule agreed to. <br /> <br />Statement of work and schedule for investigation of use of Lower Virgin <br />River water at the proposed Harry Allen Powerplant have been sent to the <br />Lower Colorado Regional Office for review. Review still in progress. <br /> <br />Interagency Agreement with the Forest Service has been approved for legal <br />sufficiency and is in the signatory process. <br /> <br />Received pricing proposal under Basic Agreement No. 4-AB-81-03600 from <br />Jack Laughlin on study of use of Big Sandy River return flows at Jim <br />Bridger Powerplant. <br /> <br />Attended the TAR SAND Symposium at Vail.
