<br />5, Fishing license holders with information on endangered fish <br />distributed to appropriate license agents, <br /> <br />In process. The preliminary design for the fishing license holder <br />has been developed and reviewed by the I&E Committee. The Colorado <br />Division of Wildlife has offered an additional $5,000 for this <br />project, which will increase the total available funding to at <br />least $16,000. The details of this'arrangement currently are being <br />worked out. The project will be sent to the printer as soon as the <br />design is finalized and the fund transfer is arranged. A final <br />product should be available in early 1995, <br /> <br />6, Briefing packet for meetings with Congressional representatives. <br /> <br />Complete. This project was a collaborative effort of the Recovery <br />Program director, assistant director, information and education <br />coordinator and clerical staff. Several improvements were made in <br />the 1994 briefing packet. More color photos were used, captions <br />were added to improve reader understanding of the program. Budget <br />tables were made easier to read. Items from the Recovery Action <br />Plan were organized by location, enabling readers to easily <br />identify the actions taking place in their state. <br /> <br />7. Repaired or replaced photo panels for portable displays. <br /> <br />Not necessary. The portable displays have held up quite well so far <br />and have not needed any repair. <br /> <br />9. Repaired and replaced plastic and wood signs. <br /> <br />Complete, Approximately 25 plastic signs were sent to the Northwest <br />Region of the Colorado Division of Wildlife for placement along the <br />Colorado River. Plastic signs also were requested and sent to the <br />Fish and Wildlife Service office at Brown's Park. <br /> <br />Additional projects not identified in FY 1994 scope of work: <br /> <br />1. Conducted major communications audit, which summarized all <br />activities completed over the past five years, provided results of <br />a written survey of Management Committee and Information and <br />Education Committee members to assess their opinions about and <br />goals for the I&E program and made recommendations for the future, <br /> <br />2, Drafted key messages to be delivered consistently to each target <br />audience, ' <br /> <br />3, Worked closely with research staff at Colorado State University to <br />finalize public attitude survey questionnaire and identify sources <br />for environmental organization members and local elected officials, <br /> <br />3 <br />
