The fourth regional project <br />discussed was, Lawn Evapotranspiration in Urban Environment; this <br />project, conducted by investigators in Wyoming, Colorado, and <br />Arizona, is concerned with grasses for urban lawns that are <br />efficient with regard to water use, <br />A Third Phase of the regional project that deals with variation <br />in crop yields with production functions, such as, water quantity <br />and quality, and irrigation methods, has recently been approved; <br />investigators from Utah, California, Arizona and Colorado are <br />involved with this study. The possible research study, using <br />the facilities at the Federal Desalting Plant at Roswell, New Mexico, <br />with investigators from the Southern Plains and the Colorado River- <br />Great Basin Regions participating,concerning brackish and saline <br />water use is developing as scheduled. A multidisciplinary study <br />of Lake Mead, recommended by the Executive Subcommittee, is again <br />being discussed. <br /> <br />0-14 <br />
