The work was <br />apprOlomately 80 percent complete by <br />September 30. 1981. <br /> <br />A contract was awarded in September <br />1981 for exploratory drilling tor the Glen <br />Canyon Peaking Power Studies. The pur. <br />pose of the study was 10 determine the <br />feasibility of increasing the peaking <br />power capacity at Glen Canyon power. <br />plant by 250 megawatts by adding two <br />additional generators to the outlet works <br />and the related impacts of such an <br />increase m peaking capacity. Wayne N Aspinall <br />Recreation Area, was awarded in March <br />1981 By the end of the fiscal year, about <br />60 percent of the $4.103,198 prOject had <br />been completed. <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity Control <br />Project: Grand Valley UM - The <br />contract for lining and rehabilitation 01 a <br />6.8-mlle section 01 the Government HIgh. <br />line Canal under Stage One was com- <br />pleted Water was delivered on April 2. <br />1981. On September 15. 1981. a contract <br />was awarded to lTL Company.
