Colorado River Storage Project: Glen
Canyon Unit - The contract for the re-
habilitation of the Glen Canyon service
road tunnel was awarded in September
1980 lor about $4 million. The work was
apprOlomately 80 percent complete by
September 30. 1981.

A contract was awarded in September
1981 for exploratory drilling tor the Glen
Canyon Peaking Power Studies. The pur.
pose of the study was 10 determine the
feasibility of increasing the peaking
power capacity at Glen Canyon power.
plant by 250 megawatts by adding two
additional generators to the outlet works
and the related impacts of such an
increase m peaking capacity. The study
was concluded In October 1981. although
drilling activities will be finalized for any
potentIal future use,

Flaming Gorge Unit - The Dutch JOhn
water system enlargement was com-
pleted in 1981. Work on the spillway
outlet tunnel was terminated In 1981 due
to substantially more repair than was
antiCIpated. A new contract has been
awarded 10 make these additional repaIrs,

Wayne N. Aspinall Unit - A contract for
construction ot a Day Use FaCiliTy. Road
work. and Utilities. Wayne N Aspinall
Recreation Area, was awarded in March
1981 By the end of the fiscal year, about
60 percent of the $4.103,198 prOject had
been completed.

Project: Grand Valley UM - The
contract for lining and rehabilitation 01 a
6.8-mlle section 01 the Government HIgh.
line Canal under Stage One was com-
pleted Water was delivered on April 2.
1981. On September 15. 1981. a contract
was awarded to lTL Company. Denver, to
place laterals in the Stage One area A
contract for the Grand Valley Field
StatIon was compleled In 1981.

the recreational faCilities at Meeks Cabin
and Stateline Dams. Work on the stabili.
zatlon of the cut slope above the State.
line Dam spillway stilling basin was
accomplished.

Seedskadee Project: Contracts were
awarded to repair the Fontenelle Dam
River outlet works stilling basin and
power plant tailrace. and also to paint the
surge lank.
