Issue: The Fryingpan-Arkansas Project has resulted in an increase
in the flow of water in the Arkansas River which causes flood stage
during the spring runoff, resulting in bank and channel erosiono It
appears this condition will continue until another channel for the
conveyance of water is completed. The Bureau of Reclamation should
exercise extreme care in its releasing of water from Sugar Loaf
Reservoir and that it cooperates in the rif-raffing (sic) of channels
and banks of the Arkansas.

Raised by:

Representinl!;

William J.
