<br />Water Conservation Board staff USing data from the Annual Report of the
<br />Operations Secretary, Arkansas River Compact Administration, the U,S,
<br />Geological Survey, Colorado Division of Water Resources and the
<br />minutes and correspondence of the Arkansas River Compact
<br />Administration,

<br />9, Gaging Stations
<br />The U,S, Geological Survey operates eight gaging stations as
<br />indicated in Appendix B under their "Collection of Basic Records"
<br />program and through funding agreements with the U,S, Army Corps of
<br />Engineers and the Arkansas River Compact Administration, For the
<br />fiscal year October 1, 1985, to September 30, 1986, the compact
<br />administration approved a cooperative agreement wlth lhe U ,8,
<br />Geological Survey in the amount of $22,370--$11,185 for each party, The
<br />compact administration funds were used for supplemental
<br />rnea~urements at seven gaging sites, the operation of one station,
<br />Arkansas River near Granada, Colorado; operation of a telemark at John
<br />Martin Dam, maintenance of radio equipment, and the preparation of
<br />records for the annual report.
