Location line for the laterals was run ill. the valle3' by stadia

traverse and an estimate of construction quantities prepared. Cost

estimate for the two ~terals, including needed structures, is $10,200

for the North Lateral and $4,800 for the South Lateral, making a total

cost of $15,000 for the two laterals.

Dav~Ditch

The Dav~ Ditch as now used diverts water by gravity from East

Rifle Creek and crosses the Rifle Gap Reservoir basin and dam site.

The ditch is too high for all year service by gravity from the reservoir

but can be supplied water 'by a riser pipe at such times as the reservoir

releases to lower Rifle Creek land will be more than adequate for

operation of the turbine. The ditch near the dam site is at elevation

discharge valve is at elevation 5825 making the minimum turbine head

The estimate of cost for Rifle Gap Dam as discussed above includes

allowance for turbine pump. Cost estimate of pump uni.t is $9,000.
