The Dixie Project <br />Field Office moved to its new location at the GSA building at 165 North <br />100 East Street, St. George, Utah, on April 5, 1965. <br /> <br />The final loan application report for the Roosevelt Water Conservation <br />District, Higley, Arizona, for a Small Reclamation Projects' loan has <br />been transmitted to the Bureau of the Budget. <br /> <br />The final loan application report for the Brown Canal Company of Arizona <br />has been transmitted to Congress. <br /> <br />Hoover Dam and Lake Mead <br /> <br />Lake Mead elevations showed a gradual rise since the last reporting .period. <br />On May 16, 1965, the surface elevation stood at elevation 1101.19, with <br />12,345,000 acre-feet of available storage. Forecasts indicated a continual <br />rise to elevation 1123.0, or 14,521,000 acre-feet by June.30, 1965. <br /> <br />Cur rent Construct ion <br /> <br />Colorado River Front Work and Levee System - - Construct ion on Senator <br />Wash Dam.is continuing on schedule. The placing of riprap as well as <br />Zone 1 and Zone 2 materials on Squaw Lake Dike and the North Dike will <br />be completed this quarter. Work continued on the pumping-generating <br />plant. Although the permanent overhead traveling crane has not been <br />delivered in time to facilitate installation of the first pump turbine units, <br />the contractor is improvising temporary measures whereby the installation <br />will go ahead on schedule. The schedule involving the construction of the <br />dam and dikes is now approximately 85 percent complete. <br /> <br />Pacific Southwest-Pacific Northwest Intertie -- Line location and flag <br />alignment have been completed on the Mead-Liberty 345-kv Transmission <br />Line. The contract for the design and construction of the extra high vol- <br />tage, direct.current terminal facilities at Mead Substation has been awarded. <br />Completion of these facilities is scheduled for 1971. <br /> <br />Flagstaff-Pinnacle Peak 345-kv Transmission Line No.1 -- Flagstaff- <br />Pinnacle Peak 345-kvTransmiss ion Line No.1 has been completed and <br />energized initially at 240 kv, since the 345/230-kv transformer for the <br />Pinnacle Peak Substation has not been delivered.
