Land and Water Conservation stickers. Arrangements <br />were made with the California Oil Company, Denver Division, to publi- <br />cize the stickers in conjunction with the publ ication, "Scenic-land." <br /> <br />Through arrangements with the Sierra Club inBanFrancisco, 20,000 <br />members of that club will receive information on the sticker. <br /> <br />By the close of the quarter a meeting will have been held in San Francisco <br />attended by State Liaison Officers of the Pacific Northwest, Mid-Continent, <br />and Pacific Southwest Regions of the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation.a.nd <br />western States Liaison Officers in connection with the Land and Water <br />Conservation Fund. Con- <br />ferences have been held in several other States. <br /> <br />California has submitted its Outdoor Recreation' Plan. Review of the <br />California and Ohio plans was undertaken at the Washington level and by <br />a task force with representatives of all regional offices. New Mexico <br />has applied for a Planning Grant. <br /> <br />Bureau of Indian Affairs <br />California Area Office Sacramento <br /> <br />Dur ing Christmas week floods in northern California, a total of 31. 6 <br />inches of rain, and some snow, fell at Hoopa during the eight-day storm. <br />Themajor'damage to Indian lands occurred in the counties oiHumboldt, <br />Del Norte, Mendocino, Siskiyou, and Modoc. The most serious destruc- <br />tion was on the Hoopa Valley Res ervation, located .along the. Tr inity <br />River.
