These have included evaluations of the fishery on theUintah and <br />Ouray Indian Reservation relative to the Central Utah Project and the <br />Green River fishery study being conducted by the Fishery Cooperative <br />Unit at the Utah StateUnivers ity, Logan, Utah. Fishery management <br />investigations under Section 8 contracts with the States are beingmoni- <br />tored by way of inspections by personnel so des ignated from the Branch <br />of Fishery Management Services. These include programs on Flaming <br />Gorge, Navajo Reservoir, and Lake Powell. <br /> <br />;i:~i~:,K~~ <br /> <br />The aerial fish stocking of Lake Powell, above Glen Canyon Dam, was <br />accomplished on schedule with only minimal loss of fingerlings, as <br />reported by on-site biologists. With the exception of bad weather which <br />prevented one air drop, the program was carried out without mishap. <br />Nearly 3 million rainbow trout were planted under this program. <br /> <br />Representatives of the BSF&W, Forest Service, Utah State Department <br />of Fish and Game, Wy.oming Game and Fish Commiss ion, Flaming Gorge <br />Recreation Area, and Upper Colorado River Commiss ion met in the Bureau <br />of Reclamation's regional office in Salt Lake City.at Reclamation's request. <br />The meeting was held to -acquaint the interested agencies with the opera- <br />tionplan for the CRSP reservoirs, with special reference to Flaming <br />'Gorgeand Seedskadee reservoirs and also to provide .an opportunity for <br />the agencies to explain their specific needs with respect to reservoir oper- <br />ation. <br /> <br />BSF&W personnel met with representatives of the Bureau of Indian Affairs <br />in Phoenix to discuss provision of fishing lakes on Indian lands as part of <br />the Bonneville Unit, Central Utah Project (BR).
