Executive Subcommittee Report and Recommendations

Mr. Barry Saunders, Chairman of the Executive Subcommittee made

the report. He noted that the September minutes of the Execu-

tive Subcommittee had omitted a discussion by the Corps of

Engineers on their Hydro Power Study and that the Committee

minutes would reflect this correction.

He reported that the Executive Subcommittee have completed a
Report on Regional Water Planning and recommended the PSIAC
approve and transmit it to the Water Resources Council. The
conclusions of the Report were read and Joel Frisch of WRC upon
question agreed the report should be'transmitted to the Council
and that the Council would respond to the report. Motion was
made and seconded' that the Chairman transmit the report to the
Water Resources Council. A copy of the report is included in
Part C of the attachments.

The Executive Subcommittee recommended that PSIAC request the
Water and Vegetation Management to undertake monitoring and
reporting to PSIAC on the water augmentation activities in the
PSIAC area and to make recommendation for expediting these
activities where possible. Motion was made, seconded and passed
that the recommendation be accepted and the Chairman inform the
Chairman of the Water and Vegetation Management Subcommittee.

The Executive Subcommittee also recommended approval and trans-

mittal of a draft letter to the Secretary of the Interior encour-

aging his support for the Water and Power Resources Service weather

B-3

l, . ~.
