Full seasonal irrigation deliveries of 1,062,000
acre-feet would be made to the North Plfltte project and the Glendo unit.

Boysen

Boysen Reservoir releases for power production would be increased to near
powerplant capacity from February through July . The conservation storag'e would
fill during July and 188,000 acre-feet would bypass the powerplant. Powerplant
releases of about 1,650 c. f. s. during August and September would leave above
normal storage at the end of the water year.

Buffalo Bill

'. ~,,"
i.';>":>

With maximum runoff conditions, releases from Buffalo Bill Reservoir during
February and March are planned for powerplant capacity, attempting to reduce
storage to the minimum desirable end of March storage content of 169,000 acre-
feet. Thereafter, releases for power production would be made at plant capa-
bility or greater as required for downstream irrigation. Total reservoir capacity
would fill by the end of June. During the remainder of the year, release would
be made as required to maintain maximum storage. About 405,000 acre-feet
would bypass the powerplant during the heavy runoff period. Year-end content
of 392,000 acre-feet would be above normal.

Power Production

With reasonable maximum water supplies, the Western Division System would
produce 286 gigawatt hours more energy than would be produced under the most
probable plan. Heavy release of surplus river water to prevent reservoir spill
in the North Platte area would produce 186 gigawatt hours of surpl us energy during
the April-July period. Import of 314 gigawatt hours would be required from the
P-SMBP Eastern Division System to meet the estimated Western Division System
power load.

..
'".,

36

~:?~.;;<
.: .:". .~.:.,
":<"':,.1;>:'
~~~::'::~'.
*~I!
~~t::
,-""".,0.;
I
:i~J~;~
[t$!~;i
r8;"f
:'~':;-:~,,-:
.;-.....:0'
R
f!l~;'
~~;::: . :'.
li,:,:,:::..<
(;.:<;~:~ '
:..-:;:~.. ::
~;~1<.\':,
i[~:;j
',::;.:: ....-:..~
;-;.~:...:.~.
~~i:~r:~~i:~
'" ,'-".
