In addition, a
bypass release of about 600 c. f. s. would be initiated. on March 1 and continued
through June. Pathfinder Reservoir year-end storage of 870, 000 acre-feet would
be 500 percent of normal.

Alcova

As preparation for early release of surplus river water, Alcova Reservoir would
be refilled to the normal summer recreation level (Elevation 5,498. - content
179,000 acre-feet) by the end of March. Normal criterin would be to refill by the
end of April. Irrigation deliveries to thc Kendrick project would be the same for
all three water supply conditions. The Fremont Canyon Powerplant bypass nec-
cssary to expedite the planned release of surplus river water would provide much
greater generation at Alcova Powerplant than with most probable conditions.

Gray Reef

Much greater Gray Reef Reservoir releases would be planned with reasonable
maximum water supply conditions. Releases would average 1,700 c. f. s. during
February, 2,500 c. f. s. during March, 2,800 c. f. s. during April and May, 2,600
c. f. s. during June, and the same as the most probable plan during the remainder
of the water year.

Glendo

With reasonable maximum runoff and planned early release of surplus river water
to Nebraska, Glendo Reservoir would fill to maximum conservation content of
523,300 acre-feet by the end of June. Thereafter, with the planned release of
surplus water completed, release would be made as required to satisfy full irri-
gation demands.

With maximum water supplies, the North Platte and Kendrick project storage
water ownerships would fill during June. North Platte year-end ownership of
870,000 acre-feet would be 236 percent of the recent la-year average. Kendrick
year-end ownership of more than I, 000, 000 acre-feet would remain much above
normal.

Total combined year-end North Platte River water storage ownership would be
about 60,000 acre-feet more than Water Year 1971.

35

---:::;-;;:.::,

,. .
.. .." ..~ .

;..~- .
:..::~-'.~ -~:

'~"':-.

".:;",-.;.'
~ :. , -.

.... ,

'::'~':('::~:
:':'...

~tI~i;

:/..::;':'.~ :;..
