See EPILn.lNION, <br />mERMOCLINE, AIID HYPOLIMNION. <br /> <br />TllERMOCLINE--That layer in a body of water having thermal stratification, <br />for which the temperature difference is greatest per unit of depth <br />(usually equal to or greater than 10 C per meter).
