<br />, . <br />.~ <br />"i'- <br /> <br />"J <br />C'J <br /> <br />"1.._") <br />t._ .' <br /> <br />SUMMARY SHEET <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) <br /> <br />For Platoro Dam <br /> <br />The Dam Tender and operators at Platoro Dam must be knowledgeable in <br /> <br />recognizing an emergency situation or unusual condition and must act <br /> <br />immediately to minimize danger to the structure and to all persons <br /> <br />within the immediate area, especially in the downstream channel. <br /> <br />As a minimum procedure, the Dam Tender shall immediately: <br /> <br />(1) Identify the emergency situation; <br /> <br />(2) Uake a decision to first contact either the: <br /> <br />(a) Chama Field Division, <br /> <br />(b) Upper Rio Grande Basin Projects (URGBP) office, or <br /> <br />(c) Conejos County.Sheriff; <br /> <br />(3) Determine actions to take with Projects Superintendent's <br /> <br />assistance; <br /> <br />(4) Follow instructions; and <br /> <br />(5) Uaintain contact with Chama Field Division office and <br /> <br />Upper Rio Grande Basin Projects office (if necessary, enlist help to <br /> <br />remain at communications source or to relay information). <br /> <br />A-2 <br /> <br />- <br />
