The reservoir level will then gradually decline to <br /> <br />about 325,OOO-acre-foot volume at elevation 7,430 by March 1967, <br /> <br />Taylor Park Reservoir is being operated to stabilize streamflows <br /> <br />and enhance stream fishing between Taylor Park and Blue Mesa. This oper- <br /> <br />ation is made possible by the use of Blue Mesa storage for reregulating <br /> <br />Taylor Park releases to meet the requirements of the Uncompahgre Project. <br /> <br />Resulting higher levels in Blue Mesa also improve the recreation potential <br /> <br />there during the summer months. <br /> <br />Total storage in the combined Upper Basin reservoirs and Lake Mead <br /> <br />is about 4.5 MAF more than at this time last year. <br /> <br />General Investigations <br /> <br />Feasibility Investigations <br /> <br />The five Colorado projects, <br /> <br />ANIMAS-LA PLATA, DOLORES, DALLAS CREEK, <br />presently before congress~or action <br /> <br />SAN MIGUEL, and WEST DIVIDE, are <br /> <br />relative to authorization. The Dolores Project report was submitted to <br /> <br />Congress on March 15, 1966, and the remaining project reports on May 3, <br /> <br />1966. <br /> <br />Feasibility designs and estimates for Owens Dam and Buzzard Creek <br /> <br />Dam, features of the BATTLEMENT MESA PROJECT, are underway. Assembly of <br /> <br />design data for other project features and preparation of the agricultural <br /> <br />economy, water supply, and plan formulation appendices are in progress, <br /> <br />Cooperative studies with other Federal agencies are continuing. A pro- <br /> <br />posed feasibility report is scheduled for completion early in calendar <br /> <br />year 1967. <br /> <br />6 <br />
