As of June 23, 1966, about 135,000 cubic yards of concrete had

been placed in Morrow Point Dam. The highest blocks in the dam were

about 216,5 feet above lowest point in the dam foundation on that date.

Rough excavation has been completed for the underground powerplant cham-

ber, and concrete placement in the powerplant has been started.

Satisfactory progress is noted on all features of the SILT PROJECT.

At Rifle Gap Dam Northwestern Engineering Company began diversion of

Rifle Creek through the outlet works on June 23. Embankment placement

has been initiated on the right abutment,

Grouting of the foundation is virtual~ complete, The concrete

work has been progressing well--the spillway slab placement is practi-

cal~ to the crest.
