Task 2 - Examine existing data and new techniques to determine best
approach to obtain population estimates for Colorado squawfish in the
Middle and Lower Green River (see above: $10,000 allocated for this task
will be divided between each reach-$5,000 for the Middle and $5,000 for
the Lower Green River. Data will be entered on the computer and
transferred to USFWS by January 15, 1999. A report summarizing this
data will be completed before the winter Colorado River researchers
meeting.

Task 3 - Complete 3 sampling trips (one in Westwater, Desolation/Gray,
and Cataract canyons) in July/August for humpback chub monitoring. Data
will be entered on the computer and transferred to USFWS by January 15,
1999. A report summarizing this data will be completed before the
winter Colorado River researchers meeting.

Task 4 - Complete 4 sampling trips (one/month) in Westwater Canyon from
July-October for a humpback chub population estimate. Data will be
entered on the computer and transferred to USFWS by January 15, 1999. A
report summarizing this data will be completed before the winter
Colorado River researchers meeting.
