<br />Operation of the Colorado River during 197 I
<br />was based on a forecast of runoff. Starting Janu-
<br />ary I, the snowmel I runoff was forecasted and the
<br />required release of storage of water to meet de,
<br />mands scheduled for each reservoir through Sep-
<br />tember. At the beginning of each month there-
<br />after through June, the forecast was revised based
<br />on precipitation and snow dala collected during
<br />the month and the scheduled operation was re-
<br />vised accordingly.'
