<br />,""" <br />\."',) <br />OJ <br /> <br />r....;) <br /> <br />'::J <br />C, <br /> <br />To use, operate, rent, sell, or otherwise dispose of any <br /> <br />water power, or water for furnishing power or operating <br /> <br />machinery, which said corporation may have or obtain in <br /> <br />connection with its canals or water system. <br /> <br />THIRD. <br /> <br />The stream from which the water :for the canals or <br /> <br />ditches of this corporation shall be taken is the Grand River. <br /> <br />(NOW known as the Colorado River) <br /> <br />The point or place on said <br /> <br />stream at which the water is to be taken out is a point on said <br /> <br />river about one thousand four hundred and twenty (1,420) feet <br /> <br />South of the Northeast corner of Section Three, Township One, <br /> <br />South of Range Two East, Ute Principal Meridian, under a ledge of <br /> <br />rock. The line of the ditch and canal of this company runs, for <br /> <br />the first twelve (12) miles, in a westerly direction, down Grand <br /> <br />Valley, to a point on said ditch known as the L:~ ttle Drop. From <br /> <br />thence two branches or laterals run down the valley, in a <br /> <br />westerly direction, to the end thereof, about fi.fteen milesl and <br /> <br />also a feeder, known as The Independent Ranchmen's Feeder, and <br /> <br />also one known as the Mesa County Ditchl and also one known as <br /> <br />the Pioneer Extension Ditchl the general line of which extensions <br /> <br />and feeders run westerly down the valley. A more particular <br /> <br />description of which said ditches and the line thereof will be <br /> <br />found in the recorded certificates of Incorporation of the Grand <br /> <br />River Ditch Company, The Grand Valley Canal Company, The Mesa <br /> <br />County Ditch Company, The Independent Ranchmen's Ditch <br /> <br />Association, The Pioneer Ditch Extension Company, which have been <br /> <br />2 <br />
