L. Allison, and A. A. Miller, of Mesa County, State of <br /> <br />Colorado, have associated ourselves together for the purpose of <br /> <br />forming and organizing a body corporate and politic and in <br /> <br />accordance with the laws of the said State of Colorado, we do <br /> <br />hereby make, execute and acknowledge, in triplicate this <br /> <br />certificate in writing, in and by which we certi.fy, as follows: <br /> <br />FIRST. <br /> <br />The corporate name of said corporation hereby <br /> <br />organized shall be The Grand Valley Irrigation Company. <br /> <br />SECOND. <br /> <br />The objects for which said body corporate shall be <br /> <br />created are: <br /> <br />To purchase and acquire all the franchises, rights of way, <br /> <br />canals, ditches, laterals, water rights and property of the Grand <br /> <br />River Ditch Company, The Grand Valley Canal Company, The Mesa <br /> <br />County Ditch Company, the Pioneer Extension Ditch Company and The <br /> <br />Independent Ranchmen's Ditch Association, and to operate, manage, <br /> <br />control, build, add to, extend and complete said canal system <br /> <br />when purchased. <br /> <br />To furnish to and distribute among the stockholders of said <br /> <br />corporation water for irrigation and domestic purposes. <br />
